Two weekends ago I was in Portland, last weekend my dad was in town, and this weekend was still just as busy!
Friday night I went to a surprise birthday dinner party for Cody with Madelyn, Lorena, Don, and Jarrett. Later some of us played Rockband. A very fun Friday night!
Saturday morning Madelyn hosted a brunch/clothing exchange. It was my very first clothing exchange and it motivated me to clean out some of my drawers. Brunch was delicious! Madelyn made French toast out of a yummy cinnamon chip bread. So freakin' good! The clothing swap was a lot of fun and I walked away with some good pieces....Madelyn-I wore your short sleeved cream colored cardigan to work today :) Hopefully we'll do another one in a few months after I "hopefully" lose some more weight. For those of you who don't know, I started the Weight Watchers online program at the beginning of October. So far I've lost about eight pounds. I wasn't going to share this on my blog...but oh well, now you know :)
Saturday afternoon I went to an awesome art show with Camron called Art from the Streets at the homeless shelter downtown. I've always wanted to go to this show. All the artists are a part of an art program at the shelter. They display and sell their work. I'm still thinking about the painting I came very close to purchasing. I want to get my Christmas shopping out of the way before making such a purchase for myself. I took down the artist's information so maybe one day if he still has it then it will be meant to be. Camron purchased a large piece and I was very excited for him!
Sunday morning I drove to San Antonio to see Mitzi complete her first marathon! She finished and got a great time! I get so choked up watching people cross the finish line. It is a huge accomplishment. Mitzi said to me after, "I don't think I'll be doing this again." I told her she doesn't have to, she can cross the marathon goal off of her list now! Congrats Mitzi!

I'm so glad you could get some use out of those clothes. They all looked great on you! And congrats on the weight-loss (although you didn't/don't need it). Eight pounds in one month is a great achievement!
Madelyn is right - 8 pounds is great - especially on your little body!!
