I like to treat my weekends as mini-vacations. Today I ran errands then started my vacation. I took my usual walk and took pictures of some of the gorgeous things I see. I mainly did this for my mom after I tried to describe all the beautiful magnolia trees in the area. I seriously fantasize about having a house with a cute porch and gigantic magnolia tree in the yard. I should have taken the photos a while ago when everything was in full bloom, including this field I walk by that was entirely covered with yellow wild flowers. It's been so hot and I guess it's kind of late in the spring so things are starting to turn brown and die. Anyway, I still enjoy the scenery. After my walk I went to the pool and got caught up on my celebrity gossip with my mysterious US Weekly magazines. I did not subscribe to this and have no idea why I'm getting it! The plan originally was to finally finish The Life of Pi, but mindless US just seemed right by the pool. Being out in the sun and enjoying nature makes me feel like I took a little vacation.
