Homecoming: Wednesday in Columbia

Bobby and I visited my family in Columbia, MO for the first time in a year.  One whole year!  I can't believe it.  I can't let that happen again.  We were only there from Wednesday to Sunday and had a lot of people to see and things to do since it had been so long.

My mom made a delicious Brazilian dinner and cookies before Bobby and I headed downtown with my brother to see the Old 97's play Summerfest...pretty much the perfect CoMo Homecoming.

Me and Daniel waiting for the show to start on Ninth Street.

Despite being so tired and hot, this was one of the best Old 97's shows that I've seen in a long time...It was almost like the old days when they actually played together more often!  The band said so many nice things about Columbia and seem to appreciate the town's support over the years.

After the show we ran into an old friend of mine, Erick.  He insisted that we go to Boone Tavern and have a drink.  We had a great time talking about fun times we had from eighth grade through college.

This post is making me homesick!  I'm so proud of my little hometown.
