Julianne and Mary came to visit on Saturday!
I have no pictures documenting our Friday in Columbia but here's what I remember:
- We visited family friends who live down the street from my parents and I found out that I'm still a Brazilian citizen. Their kids are like me, Brazilian mother, American father, and born in the States. They have made recent trips to Brazil and had to travel on Brazilian passports. I had to do that too, but thought once I turned 21 I was no longer a citizen. Wrong, turns out I have to renew my Brazilian passport if I want to visit my family next summer. Also, another crazy thing-if I have kids...they too will have dual citizenship! Weird.
- Lunch with another family friend that I've known since pre-school. She reminded me that I was not always the best behaved child in the world. Shocking.
- After lunch Bobby went to Boonville to go to the casino and I went shopping with my mom.
- That evening we made a quick stop to see Kelly, Greg, and Evelyn. The new playroom rules! Later Bobby and I went to dinner with my parents at Murray's where umm, my mom told us that she had a temporary tattoo earlier this year...of a parrot....umm, right above her bikini line...and was like showing it to people at a party. Yeah, this is when I realized that my parents are really comfortable with Bobby and really don't care about what will or won't embarrass me.

The cuteness that is Evelyn and her beautiful mama Kelly at Shakespeare's
Saturday, Julianne and sweet pup Mary traveled to Columbia from St. Louis to visit. This was awesome because I haven't seen them since December 2008! We met up with Kelly and family for lunch at Shakespeare's of course. After lunch Julianne, Bobby, and I walked around downtown and Julianne and I bought each other birthday gifts-matching Columbia map prints from Poppy. I love it!!! I'll post a picture of it later. It was so wonderful seeing two of my best girlfriends.

This was waiting in the garage for Bobby when we got home on Saturday. Yep, my parents bought him a bike. Bobby and my dad got to spend some "good quality time together" while they put on new pedals. I'm excited about the bike because now we can ride together. We went on our first ride yesterday morning.
Saturday night we went to a family friend's wedding on the Missouri river so I thought we should take a couple of pictures while Bobby and I are both cleaned up. I wish I would have gotten one with my mom that night in her cute long black and white dress. No pictures to prove it, but she looked pretty.
Me and my dad
The wedding was so pretty and fun. They played Ray Charles' "I Gotta Woman" while the groom walked with his mom down the aisle. This set the tone for a relaxed and fun night.

The orchids on the tables were beautiful.
We ate at tables along the river
Wow, we accomplished a lot in two days!
