But here's another one anyway. Besides, Jonathan Adler's whole book is about how your environment can
change your mood and that you should only have things in your home that are meaningful to you and that you love.
So here are a few more photos of some things in the kitchen that make me happy.
This is a piece that I found on etsy. The painting was done on a page from a vintage dictionary. Even the words on this particular page are pretty to me-from honest to honeycomb to honky tonk.
The monkey salt and pepper shakers were my grandmother's. I remember loving them since I was a child and making sure that she set them out for every holiday. I realize that people probably think these are horrible, but whatevs people, whatevs.
Magnets on the fridge. Of course the Wilco theme has to be carried from the living room to the kitchen. The orange record center thingy is a piece made by a cute Chicago ceramics studio. Below these magnets but not pictured is one of my favorite photos of my grandmother and me the last time I saw her.
Kelly gave me this fantastic Missouri cookie cutter and it sits on top of the microwave. It was part of my "30 things" on my 30th birthday that the Kewpie Girls put together. I did use it last summer to make some pretty darn cute cookies for Bobby before Missouri Road Trip 2009.
Okay, back to rotting my brain with more reality TV with The Bachelorette.

BTW: I'm also rotting my brain by watching the Bachelorette this season. Frank always annoyed me - glad he's gone. Who do you predict she ends up with?

Kelly-What do YOU think? I don't know. I know she thinks that Roberto is hot but I just can't see her with him so I'll say Chris...or maybe she won't pick anyone so she can do the show again. I like Chris though. I thought Frank was the cutest but the confidence thing was an issue.
Yes, I actually liked Frank in the beginning. However, his tendency to COMPLETELY over think things really annoyed me, hence my excitement that he's now gone.
I really don't know who she'll end up with. For some reason I have a feeling she'll pull a "Brad Womack" and won't pick anyone.
Should I be embarrassed that I just referenced a previous season of the Bachelor? What has my life come to? :) Oh, trash TV... how I love you!
