The Master Bedroom

Lots of Bobby's Japanese items ended up in the bedroom including the painting above the bed.
The bedside tables that Bobby was working on in a previous post.  I've had them since I was a child. They were black with white drawers.
Why yes, we do have liger lamps.  You heard right, ligers.  They crack me up.
The dresser that I found in the trash in Columbia and was green until Bobby painted it white.
I found the needlepoint picture at Goodwill.
The wall hangings from Goodwill that were brown to begin with.  The print in the center was given to me by my step-great-grandmother when I was probably 4 or 5.
No clue what the commercial on the TV is for but pretty funny that this ended up in the photo.
Everyone needs at least one pet portrait or paint-by-number painting in their home.  I have a paint-by-number pet portrait.  I bought the key at one of my favorite vintage shops and then was informed that Jonathan Adler has used keys in many of his designs, including the lobby at the Parker Hotel.

Another ceramic piece from the cute Chicago artists at Circa Ceramics.

I love love love how those tourquoiseish night stands turned out! Did you all use regular paint or spray paint? And did you do sanding? I have a couple of things I want to paint and am trying to find the best and easiest strategy.

Thanks Susan! I took a risk with the blue but I'm glad we did it. I was thinking white but the blue is fun. They look so much better than when they were black and white. We sanded them and used regular paint in a high gloss that already has primer in it. It took a few coats. I'm not sure how spray paint would have turned out but I have painted a metal table with spray paint before and it was fine. Spray paint is easier for sure, but there probably aren't as many color choices. What are you going to paint?

okay, seriously, this looks like a place decorated by a designer. I love the use of white and then the pop of blue(that's designer talk for ya). I want you to come do my bedroom. And I love seeing all the stuff that used to be in your childhood bedroom. It makes me smile. Your family clearly has good taste because NONE of the stuff that I had as a child would be remotely usable at this point. You guys got style.
