I love a long weekend and this one did not disappoint.
Thanksgiving Day: Bobby and I went over to his friends' house where we were treated to a gourmet Thanksgiving dinner. The cook, Bobby's best friend's wife, went to culinary school so we were very lucky! Later Bobby and I continued on with our Mad Men watching. We are now in season two. I'm pretty sure that show is rubbing off on me because my latest lipstick purchase is very bright and Mad Men-esque.
Friday I met up with my friend Jen at one of my favorite places, the Alamo Drafthouse, to watch the movie "Precious." I really wanted to read the book Push first, but that did not happen. The movie was wonderful and I see no harm in reading the book after watching the movie. Later I met up with Bobby to see Jay Tillman, the drummer for the Fleet Foxes, play a few songs at Waterloo Records.
Saturday I watched the exciting Mizzou/Kansas football game and then met Mitzi for dinner at The Good Knight, a bar with a few food items. I can mark that one off my list and be fine not going back, at least not for dinner. After dinner we met up with Mitzi's sister Veronica and her boyfriend Rob for drinks at Club Deville to celebrate Veronica's birthday.
Sunday was a day of catching up with laundry and being lazy. The long weekend was much needed and refreshed me. I got so much more work done this morning than I had for the several weeks before Thanksgiving!
I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends!

So glad you had a great weekend (though I'm bummed you didn't end up in Columbia, as we ended up being here after all... long story)!
