Wilco! (in Cedar Park?)

I admit I've had a love/hate, well more of a love/and just not into relationship with Wilco. I was at their first shows at the Blue Note after Uncle Tupelo broke up and then sort of fell out of love with them. For the past three years I've gone back to my roots and love Wilco again. They are the one band I'd be willing to travel for and we did...to Cedar Park, TX last Thursday night after a yummy Thai dinner with fellow Wilco fans Cody, Madelyn, Chris, Yaz and Bobby. Cedar Park is a suburb right outside of Austin. They have a new hockey arena and that is where for whatever reason, Wilco played. Jeff Tweedy commented about them playing in a hockey arena several times and joked about Wilco being "arena rock." Jeff Tweedy is one of my heroes. He and the rest of the band did not disappoint despite the odd venue.

The guy in the hat in front of us made the show even better. You would have thought he was at a Brittany Spears concert by the way he was dancing. He even "danced" the lyrics. As in, if drinking was mentioned, he'd dance as though he was holding a glass and drinking.

My crush (and Bobby's too.)
