Tara and Chad's Wedding

My name is Jessica. J-E-S-S-I-C-A. I have recently become addicted to the blog www.oncewed.com for the lovely photos and creative ideas. This recent obsession made me even more excited to bring my camera to friend and former coworker, Tara's, wedding this Saturday in Smithville, TX. Smithville is a cute town where "Hope Floats" was filmed.

Tara and Chad met at Cowboy Church and their wedding and reception were very representative of who they are.

This wedding was a first for me in many ways:
  • First wedding where the preacher said "gitter done."
  • First byob wedding.
  • First time in Smithville.
  • First Grand March, a dance where all of the wedding guests participate eventually creating an arch where everyone dances through and then lots and lots of circling around until you finally make one giant circle around the bride and groom.

I had a wonderful time!

My friend Mitzi was a bridesmaid.

The wedding was during a UT football game, but Mitzi's tattoo still helped her show support.

BYOB wedding meant a stop at the liquor store.

Bobby outside of the reception site, Kovar Hall.

Kovar Hall. I imagine it was an old dance hall which was very cool, but there was no air conditioning.

This was also the first time that I saw Big Gulps at a wedding reception.

Tara looked amazing.
