Bingo!

Friday Night Bingo!

Last week was a busy one but it still managed to feel like forever before Friday rolled around. Wednesday night I met up with my friend Jen for dinner. It had been nearly a year since we had seen each other. Jen travels fifty percent or more for her job making it difficult sometimes to get together. It was great being able to catch up with her. She's helped me through some challenging times over the past few years by just letting me come over and hang out. Listening to her and sharing with her what I've been up to kind of made me realize just how quickly life can change. It was a good reminder to enjoy the present because you never know what tomorrow will bring.

I feel cheesy writing about this, but whatever...Thursday marked five months of dating Bobby and six months since meeting him. Time flies! We "celebrated" by Bobby playing softball and me having Jonathan and Jarrett over to watch Project Runway. I'm not sure who does the better Tim Gunn impression, Jonathan or Jarrett? Speaking of, does anyone else think that Tim Gunn is even MORE Tim Gunn-like this season? A few times when I haven't been looking at the TV and Tim Gunn speaks, I've thought it was someone doing an impression of him because of how over the top it sounded. Also...I want more Michael Kors and Nina Garcia! Okay, enough of my PR rant.

Friday was a busy day starting with this professional development class that I'm in through work. After that I went to the driving range with some coworkers for "Fun Friday." I really need to be more consistent with golf! It's so frustrating going out and not being happy with even one shot. After golf I went to an afterschool site to assist with a drama class where a little boy sat down next to me and said, "You look like my mom." Later that evening Bobby and I met Cody and Madelyn at a Vietnamese restaurant that I had been wanting to try, Pho Saigon Noodle House. Living in Austin has turned me into a huge fan of Vietnamese food. I'm lucky enough to live so close to probably 10 or more Vietnamese restaurants! Dinner was delicious and cheap. After dinner we went to play bingo. This was Bobby's first time playing and we all had a great time. I came pretty close to a bingo a couple of times.

Saturday we went to the North Loop Block Party. North Loop is this cute street not too far from me with come fun vintage shops that I love. They had food and sales going on outside. I took it easy the rest of the day as well as Sunday because lovely endometreosis pain decided to make an appearance. I'm feeling better today thank goodness!
