Weekend Recap: Waterslides, Pools, and more Pools

I saw a lot of the sun this weekend. Friday night was pretty chill. Bobby and I watched "The Wrestler." Don't take me falling asleep at the end as a sign of me not liking it, I was just exhausted. But the funny thing is, I have yet to stay awake for an entire movie with Bobby. This doesn't count movies we've seen in theaters. He's beginning to think that I am not capable of staying awake in any movie not watched on the big screen.

Saturday I hung out at my apartment pool catching up on the seven magazine subscriptions that have begun arriving in my mailbox. So far I'm doing a pretty decent job of keeping up...except with Martha Stewart's Living, that one's a challenge. Later I went to Sheila and Jason's house for their bouncy water slide/margarita-off party. I had planned on going down the slide but changed my mind after seeing someone's bottoms come off repeatedly. The margaritas were good and I had my first gummy bears soaked in vodka experience.

Sunday Bobby and I hung out at the pool in his backyard. We did the standard pool stuff: see who can hold their breath the longest; try to figure out what the person is saying underwater; water volleyball; swim races; and handstands. I had a blast. Later we ate at one of my favorite places, Torchy's Tacos. and then I went to his softball game. Softball game watching is a nice excuse to sit outside on a summer night and have a beer. I was not ready for the weekend to end but remembered some fun stuff I have going on this coming up weekend. I will try to do a better job with the picture taking for my next weekend post!
