Bobby and me waiting on the main lawn of Austin Museum of Art's Laguna Gloria. This picture doesn't exactly capture the beauty of the place but trust me, it's gorgeous. It's one of my favorite spots in Austin. The grounds feature the museum, classrooms, an amphitheater, and paths along the lake. I'm dying to sign up for a pottery class here.

This is a view of the "stage" sitting in the amphitheater. That's Lake Austin behind the impressive giant blow-up movie screen.

This is a view of the main lawn. Behind the "photographer" is the beautiful old mansion that is now the museum. Not sure why I didn't take a picture of that but next time!
Once we found out the show was cancelled the producer as well as one of the performer's decided to take me and the other performer out for a drink. We went to this dive bar in my neighborhood called Lala's that has Christmas decorations up all year round. I ordered food there for the first time last night and was amazed at how good the burger was! It now ranks number 2 on my list of best Austin burgers. Anne, the producer/performer, and Pat the other performer are a couple of neat, smart, and funny people. They both have experience in improv and other cool projects. I feel so lucky to get to be part of a group I have so much respect and admiration for! This comedy/stage thing is a whole new world for me and am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to experience it despite how nervous it makes me.
