Bachelorette Party "The Last Hurrah"

Shayna (also a bride to be) and me at Malverde.  I can't wait for her wedding either!

Me, Shayna, Kristi, Mitzi, and Jill

My ATX girls took me out for what the evite said, my "last hurrah."  We had a nice dinner at La Condesa and then went to a couple of bars.  I haven't been "out" like this since our friend Tara(not pictured but she was there) got married a couple of years ago and it felt very foreign but I had fun.  Some of my favorite comments of the night:

Guy at bar:  "So when is the big day?"
Me:  "October 15th."
Guy:  "Oh, so you still have time to change your mind."
Later, same guy:  "Who ever this guy is you're marrying, he's one lucky guy."
Me:  "I know."

Guy starts talking to me in a heavy accent
Me:  "Where are you from?"
Him:  "Germany.  What does the button you're wearing say?"
Me:  "It says, Bachelorette, Bitch."
Him:  "So what are you studying?"
Me:  "Ummm (trying to remember how you answer this question and what my major was) Human Development...and Family Studies."

The girls tried giving me some dares to do.  One was asking a guy for a condom. (They didn't write these, they were prewritten in a bachelorette package thing.)

Me to what ended up being a very inebriated guy and his friend:  "Umm, I have to do some dares for my party.  Do you guys have a condom."
Drunk guy:  "No, but I'll make out with the bride.  Isn't that usually one of the dares?"
Me:  "Oh, that's okay.  I just need to a condom.  Thanks though."

Thank you ATX ladies for a night of fun and yummy food!  Love ya!  Can't wait to "pay it forward" at Shayna's Bachelorette Party.
