March Madness

Okay, so despite some pretty big crappy things that have happened this week, March has got plenty to be excited about! I can't tell you how grateful I am to have so much to look forward to right now.

• I bought my new camera tonight! I can't wait to begin experimenting with it and all the fun features like fish-eye lens, retro setting, and night vision!
• This Saturday night I am going to see the original guys from Mystery Science Theater 3000 do a live show! Okay, so those of you who know me know what a dork I was about MST3K ever since high school. I have really turned into a 16 year old girl just thinking about this! Hell, my MST3K fan club t-shirt was my good-luck charm for all important tests in high school! (And yes, I still have the shirt.)
• Spring Forward! I love that it will be staying light outside long enough for me to go on walks or bike rides after work.
• SXSW (South by Southwest) music week starts March 18th! I am taking some time off from work to enjoy some of the day shows and parties. Fingers crossed that I see Elijah Wood again this year! If I do, I'll have something to talk about with him...Mortified. He's in my favorite Mortified video and I just got asked to be in the next Austin Mortified show (yikes, seriously scared about this).
• My brother is visiting the last weekend in March! My family so rarely visits so any time they do it is a big deal and I get super excited. My brother hasn't been to Austin since 2004 and I feel like I know the town even better now. I have no idea what we'll do, but hopefully the weather will cooperate.
• And in regards to March Madness...Go Tigers! It's so fun to have a pretty good team this year!
