Saturday afternoon, Lorena, Cody, and Madelyn joined me for my first trip to Mayfield Park. I'd been to Laguna Gloria next door and Mt. Bonnell down the street, but never to the park with the peacocks! What a great place to experiment with my new camera and a great way to spend an afternoon! Afterwards we walked around Laguna Gloria where they were setting up for a fancy wedding reception and then we ate at one of my favorite places, Torchy's.
These peacocks made us think about how crazy it is that these colors exist in nature!
I have to admit I didn't even notice the bee while taking this picture. It was a pleasant surprise later.
After a great afternoon we decided that we really need to explore more places in Austin. I can't wait for our next photography session!
