Going Ons

I got a lot knocked out at work today in preparation for Julianne arriving tonight and the Austin City Limits Music Festival this weekend! Julianne is a dear friend who always makes me laugh. If it wasn't for her I'm not sure I would have had the courage to move to Austin. It was much easier making the big move with a friend. She moved back to St. Louis after a couple of years but we had a lot of fun while she was here. We have a couple of pre-ACL parties tonight and then the festival starts tomorrow. I can't even believe it is time! There are several people I've seen before that are playing like the Old 97's, Mates of State, Neko Case, and Beck but others I've never seen that I'm excited about like Erykah Badu and my newest favorite, MGMT. They are so fun to dance to. (Kate-if you're reading-I think you'd like them!)

This week has been very busy-Monday night I saw my friends Jordan and Justin and their sweet little boys. The newest is already 6 weeks old!

Tuesday night I practiced my Scrabble skills. I hadn't played in years. I need to study so I can put up a good Scrabble fight when I go up to Portland to visit an old college friend in October. I'm very excited about that trip by the way. Despite not being a huge fan of grey skies and rain I think it's going to be some wonderful and much needed time with nature not to mention it will be nice seeing my friend for the first time in probably 8 years!

Last night was Project Runway night. Only Don and Jonathan were able to make it but we had a great time because it was such a fun challenge. It is time for Kenley and her attitude to go! Hmm, who knows more about hip hop fashion? Kenley or LL Cool J? Get over yourself Kenley! You are missing out on so many learning experiences! Listen to Tim for crying out loud!

Now I'm just counting down until I can leave work and pick up Julianne at the airport. Woo party!
