Summer Flu or What?

Yesterday morning I had some trouble breathing, like not being able to breathe all the way in. Then my chest hurt. After lunch the muscles all around my abdomen started hurting. I left for a training that started at 1:00 and by the time I settled in, my muscles in my neck hurt and then soon enough my entire body, back, legs, everything started to ache. I also had the chills and could not stop shaking the whole time in the training. Towards the end of the training my head started hurting incredibly bad. It was so weird. I took a couple of Advil during the training and then took my temperature once I got home a couple hours later-it reached nearly 102 and I felt like I had been hit by a truck. No cold symptoms, just aches, fever, and headache. I'm feeling better, but not 100% today. I think I mainly feel better because the fever has come down. Anyway, I'm writing all of this because I'm always curious about what the heck is wrong with me when I'm sick. I don't feel bad enough today to drive all the way up north to my doc, but am curious. So as my doctors, is it a flu? Okay, off to lay down.

Did you try WebMD? I have never used it to determine what my symptoms may be, but I thought it might be useful. Let me know if it helps.

I just had a flu that lasted 9 days it started with a sore throat and settled in my chest also had intestinal issues. My 1 year old is sick with intestinal issues and runny nose for 5 days now. My daughters boyfriend just dropped my daughter off early because he suddenly became dizzy at the movies he came in I took his temp and it was 102.5 I'm not sure what is going around but I believe it is a new virus and having it arrive in the summer should be a warning to us all!
