Ever since I graduated from college and lived with Julianne for several years, I can remember wanting to collect vintage Pyrex. I'm not the only one see. I am so in love with so many of these amazing patterns. I originally fell in love with the colorful and cute little refrigerator dishes. I'm pretty sure Julianne taught me about these.
I never really tried to search for vintage Pyrex. I'd see pieces in antique stores and admire it, but never bought any...until yesterday. I went to Goodwill in Round Rock and happened to spot a Pyrex dish. I made a dash to grab it as soon as I saw it like someone was racing me for it, but really no one seemed to care about this lonely little vintage piece of Pyrex sitting on top of mounds of random dishes. $2.99 for my little treasure. I told my friend Brandon about it and he helped me figure out that the pattern is called Butterprint and is from the 50's-60's. Since I am such a dork, this put a smile on my face.
I would love to find more pieces but for now I think I'm going to stick with thrift store and garage sale finds rather than antique stores where they are easily accessible and marked up. It seems more special and fun to find it like I did at Goodwill. So yay for me and my first piece of vintage Pyrex.

I don't see any wheat on this pattern..... I thought you loved wheat? You know, cause your from the mid-west.
Yay for vintage Pyrex. And a double yay for $2.99 treasures at the Goodwill.
That's really cute! Fun collection idea. I think my mom has some vintage pyrex - maybe I can snag some for you. I don't think it's a cute as this, though.
Cody-correction, there IS wheat in this pattern!
Madelyn-thanks for the Pyrex support.
Susan-thanks! You should send your mom the patterns list and let me know what she has! Not to give me, but for curiousity's sake!
