This weekend was fun and relaxing. Friday night Jonathan had a birthday party for his 30th with a pajama theme. Bobby and I didn't have appropriate pajamas for a party so I stopped by Goodwill after work to see if I could find anything. I didn't buy it but I found that leopard print treasure pictured at the top. When I first saw it I thought it was just an ordinary robe, but upon further inspection I discovered that the bottom part was pants! A pants robe! Awesome. I'm sure Bobby would have been the star of the party if I would have bought that for him, but I decided that the price was a little steep for Goodwill.
Bobby came over before the party and surprised me with gifts to celebrate our 6 month dating-versary: a Spanish phrase book and a locket that I saw a few months ago at Parts & Labour that I really wanted. It was very thoughtful and sweet. Oddly enough I now have two necklaces with horses on them! The first one was given to me by my uncle when I was probably 14 in Brazil and didn't start wearing it and loving it until a few years ago. I now have a thing for horses on jewelry I guess.
Madelyn came over later and we all headed to Jonathan's party. We realized that we had both recently purchased new flannel shirts at Target and decided that it would be okay if we matched for the party since we both wanted to wear our new shirts. Jonathan had on new fancy pajamas and a very cool beer koozie that his friend knitted him with a felt mustache attached to it. I think I'm going to have to expand my knitting skills from scarves to koozies now! Jonathan's party was fun and it seems like he had a good birthday.
Saturday was pretty much consumed by football: UT vs. Oklahoma in the morning and Missouri vs. Oklahoma State in the evening. I'm hoping that we'll get to see the UT/Missouri game while we're in Mexico but am also nervous after seeing how the last two Mizzou games have gone.
Sunday was spent trying to finish reading Eat Pray Love, working out, movie watching, and cooking. It was supposed to be spent packing for my trip but that just did not happen.
