My life, perspective, etc. has changed/evolved over the past few months. Here's what I've learned:
- My parents do kind of know what they're talking about.
- Despite living in different cities pretty much since college (except for Julianne), I miss my close friends. The friends who are so old and close at this point that they love you unconditionally.
- Sometimes it really is okay to just act on faith with just a dash of practicality thrown in there. Life is freakin' short.
- I've sort of turned into my mother as far as wanting things to be in a certain place and somewhat neat. Hmm, maybe all those times that my mom put anything I left out on the bathroom counter into the trash can in junior high and high school taught me a lesson...or just turned me into an uptight person.
- I've been on my own for so long that I'm not always down with sharing!
- You can't judge or make assumptions about someone without actually being in their situation. Sometimes outsiders have a clear perspective and you should listen, but sometimes they don't. All the little details that outsiders don't see add to the situation and can completely change it.
- Weight Watchers works if you follow it correctly.
