This weekend was busy but fun...again, no pictures. I need to work on that!
Friday night Bobby and I went to a fundraising event for a dog rescue organization. My friend Meghan helped put it together. Later we went to see the new Disney Pixar movie, Up. Go see it! Seriously! I loved it and would actually pay to see it again. I rarely say that. It was funny as well as sweet and touching. So touching in this one particular scene that it made me cry!
Saturday I had a mission to find frames to turn into prescription sunglasses. I am long overdue on getting prescription sunglasses. The wrinkles around my eyes from the Texas sun will tell you that. I was getting frustrated because I was having trouble finding frames that look like sunglasses and not just like regular glasses with dark lenses...until someone told me about a shop just a block away from me. The store sells never worn vintage frames from the 1950's on up. I walked in and I was in eyeglass heaven. Basically the store kept all of their original stock through out the years that didn't sell and are now selling them as "new vintage frames." I found some that are from the 1970's. They are kind of silly but they look like sunglasses to me and I am so excited about them. The goal is to prevent any more wrinkles for the time being! Um, but I did layout by the pool later that afternoon with my friend Camron. I can't help it, I like being tan.
Sunday I went to brunch with Bobby for one of his friend's birthdays. There were some pretty cute and hilarious kids, like 2 1/2 year kids, at the brunch. One of the boys loves Beyonce's "All the Single Ladies" and knows some of the hand movements to the dance. It cracked me up. The rest of the Sunday made me feel somewhat domesticated. We went to Fry's, Ikea, and the outlets. I didn't buy anything but I think I've met my shopping quota for the next several months.
The only thing that could have made this weekend better is if it was a three day weekend.

Ryder's favorite song is All the Single Ladies.
That sounds like so much fun! Anna has no idea what the Up movie is, but she heard some people talking about it and now she constantly asks, "can we watch the Up movie?" I'm wondering if I've deprived her because I don't think she's ever heard Beyonce before...
